Ronald Martinez's view of the body is an eloquent testimony to the powerful effect that Italian Luminism left on pictorial traditions
that associate chiaroscuro with transcendence.
His artwork, which reveals equally a work of conscientious research and one of subtle photographic intuition,
gracefully illustrates the immense potential offered to whoever, imbued almost despite himself by the light so rich in nuance
developed by Caravaggio, Titian, Veronese or Cagnacci, can deploy his photographic instinct to cut out in profane realism delicate
and sensual scenes where dark and light contrasts sculpt a graceful nudity with divine accents.
